Key Objective

To produce consistent level of high quality welded joints on various products, while utilising a diverse range of welding processes & techniques. These are subjected to strenuous inspection with U/T, X-Ray & MPI techniques.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities

Welding of shell boilers & pressures vessels constructed to BS2790 and EN12953, using MMA, SAW & FCAW welding processes | Welding of boiler casings, support structures and associated parts using MIG process | Welding of economisers and pipework with TIG welding process

Required Skills and Qualities

Time served Coded Welder essential | Completion of Recognised Craft Apprenticeship | ONC Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline | Good overall diversity in various welding processes | Ability to work on own initiative | Conversant with fabrication drawings generated from
