Service Engineers

Cochran has a proud and longstanding history of products and support in the Distillery sector in Scotland and Ireland.  As such we would like to reinforce our service team as the company looks to expand its coverage and release new products.  If you are interested and would like more information or to discuss this opportunity please contact John Riddell, Aftermarket Business Manager via jriddell@cochran.co.uk.  To apply, please send a covering letter and CV to Jill Lockwood, Support Services Manager at hr@cochran.co.uk

Boiler Repair Engineers

We are currently looking for two coded welder/platers to join the busy Repair Team, which carries out repairs to industrial steam and hot water boilers.  In this role you will work on client sites, primarily in the UK and Ireland but also, at times, overseas.  These are field-based roles, not based from head-office.  The role involves working in confined spaces and at height, as well as physical work such as removal of brickwork, so a reasonable general level of fitness is required.

The main tasks are:  Welding (MMA); Shell/furnace tube repairs (Cutting out and fitting D Patch Sections); Trepanning & J Prepping; Boiler retubing/tube expansions; Tube plate replacements; Standpipe replacements; Preparation and reinstatement of boilers for annual insurance survey.

Successful candidates will have completed a recognised Craft Apprenticeship, have strong customer service skills and good communication skills (verbal and written).  They need to be flexible, able to to work on their own initiative and able to work away from home on a regular basis.  TIG and MIG Welding would be useful but are not essential.  Product knowledge of Cochran and other industrial boilers would also be useful.

A Full UK driving licence is required.

Equal Opportunities

Cochran Ltd is an equal opportunities employer and encourage and welcome applications for our vacancies from all candidates regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
