Cochran has developed a range of boilers that is targeting at least 80mg/Nm3 (without Flue Gas Recirculation). These units have the added benefit of increased efficiency to further enhance environmental performance. Of particular significance are the enhanced ranges to comply with the recently introduced European emissions legislation, The Medium Combustion Plant Directive (MCPD). MCPD sets new tighter emissions limits for boiler plant between 1 and 20MW heat input. The limits for new plant are dependent upon the fuel(s) being burnt but the most common one to focus upon is the NOx level on gas firing which has been set at 100mg/Nm3. For the steam range the ST28, based on the renowned Wee Chieftain, covers outputs from 1000 to 6000 kg/h and the ST37, based on the established Thermax design, covers outputs from 7000 to 24000 kg/h. For reverse flame boilers we have developed the ST65 range. For hot water units we have developed the HW29 range for outputs from 450 – 4100 kW and the HW34 for outputs from 5000 – 10000 kW
