July 2012 the official opening of Foresterhill Energy Centre  was
undertaken by Mr. Michael Matheson MSP - Minister for Public Health.  As
a major supplier to the project Cochran were represented by David Weild
(Senior Projects Manager). Cochran have supplied 3 conventional dual
fuel fired burners and a waste heat recovery boiler, supplying a total steam load of 55,000 kg/hr or 34 MW thermal energy (equivalent of heating over 63,000 households).
The project was looking for the latest environmentally friendly
technology and Cochran were selected due to the high efficiency and low
emissions, combined with our capability to integrate with the total
system.
This follows on from the project handover of the project for Royal
United Hospital in Bath, where Cochran were selected for similar reasons
to supply 24,000 kg/hr of boiler plant, 2 conventional boilers and a
bespoke composite design.
Cochran has supplied over 130 boilers to hospital projects over the last 5 years and are a leading player in this field.
